The Annapurna Panorama Trek is a lovely retreat through lush woods, rhododendron-filled mountains, and beautiful Gurung villages, all culminating with magnificent vistas of Annapurna South, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri.

You’ll walk amid whispering pine trees, ascend stone staircases that resonate with history, and sip hot tea in the presence of snow-capped peaks. And yeah, the sunrise from Poon Hill? It’s every bit as magical as the stories describe.

Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrival Day and Trek Briefing in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,265ft.)
Accommodation:At a Luxury Hotel/Guesthouse
Meals:Breakfast

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our team members of staff will be there to welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation. You will spend your rest of the day chilling around the Kathmandu valley, and at the end of the day we’ll organize a small meeting with the trekking team so that you do not miss any information.

Day 02 :
Reserve Day in Kathmandu
Accommodation:Hotel In Pokhara
Meals:Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Your second day in Nepal begins with a delicious breakfast and after that we will provide you a tour of some attractions of Kathmandu like Pashupatinath,  Boudhanath and also Kathmandu Durbar Square. You can also do a last-minute shopping as we will leave Kathmandu and heads toward Pokhara on the following day.

Day 03 :
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. (6-7 hrs, 200 km). Distance: 200 km, Duration: 6–7 hrs

Our official journey begins from the day three, where we will leave the city’s buzz and move toward the Lake’s calm. We drive for 6 to 7 hours along the Prithvi Highway, following the Trishuli River and later Marshyangdi River. Throughout our journey to Pokhara we will pass through terraced farmlands, roadside villages, and views of snowcapped peaks like Annapurna, Manaslu, and Machhapuchhre are expected. After exploring all these views, we will finally reach Pokhara, the city of lakes. We will stay overnight in Pokhara, and prepare for our tomorrow’s journey.

Day 04 :
Drive to Nayapul (1,070m) & Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,540m) to Ulleri (1,960m). Distance: ~10 km, Duration: 5–6 hrs

With the beginning of the day four, we will go on a short drive of around one and half hour to Nayapul. And finally, we will begin our trek, stretching our feet; we will start our trek from Nayapul. The route begins with a gentle walk through Birethanti, where we will show our permit and head forward to Syauli Bazaar and Hille. Finally, after climbing over 3,000 steps, through steep stone, we will reach Ulleri. We will conclude our day four here and prepare for the next day.

Day 05 :
Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,860m). Distance: 8 km, Duration: 5–6 hrs

Activity Duration: 1 hr sunrise walk plus 5–6 hrs trek

After spending a night in Ulleri, we will once again begin our jourey to Ghorepani. Throughout the way we will pass through dense rhododendron forest and oak forests. On our way to Ghorepani we will pass Banthanti and Nangethanti, and explore the view of bubbling streams. After a distance we will finally reach Gorepani, where we will stay overnight and enjoy the view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Ranges.

Day 06 :
Sunrise Hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) and Trek to Tadapani (2,650m). Distance: 11 km, Duration: 6–7 hrs.

With the beautiful night stay in Gorepani, we will begin our day six with a hike to Poon Hill, one of Nepal’s most famous viewpoints. Climbing up to Poonhill, we will witness the first golden rays of sunrise illuminate peaks like Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri. After soaking in the view and capturing the pictures, we will descend to Ghorepani for breakfast. After having our breakfast, we will start our trek to Tadapani. The routes take us along the forested ridge through Deurali Pass. Once we reach Tadapani, we’ll be able to witness the close-up views of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South.

Day 07 :
Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940m). Distance: 6 km, Duration: 3–4 hrs

The seventh day of our journey begins with a trek to Ghandruk. We’ll go through beautiful rhododendron and oak forests, where we might get a chance to spot Langurs and colorful Himalayan birds. After walking for next few hours we will finally arrive at Ghandruk, one of the largest Gurung settlements in Annapurna region. We will also explore the Gurung museum and some of the breathtaking views of Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, and Macchapuchhre.
 

Day 08 :
Ghandruk to Pothana (1,990m). Distance: 12 km, Duration: 6–7 hrs

After having a breakfast in Ghandruk, we’ll leave for Pothana. We’ll start with a descent to Kimche through forest paths. Moving forward we will go through Landruk, another Gurung village. Then we will follow the trail towards Tokala and winds upward to Deurali Pass, from where the view of Pokhara Valley and Annapurna range is stunning. After continuing our walk for next few hours, we will finally reach Pothana. And we will be experiencing the beautiful sunset view from Pothana and will stay overnight in Pothana.

Day 09 :
Pothana to Sarangkot (1,600m). Distance: 11 km, Duration: 6–7 hrs.
Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu or departure 
Activity Duration:Sunrise walk + 1.5 hr drive + 6–7 hrs drive/fly 
Meals:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

On the ninth days of our journey, we will head toward Sarangkot. We will go through Australian Camp, a point for perfect panoramic view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Macchapuchhre.  We will continue our trek and pass through Kaskikot and small hilltop settlements, with glimpses of Pokhara valley below. Once we reach Sarangkot we will be able to witness the sunset over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.  With this we will conclude our day nine and stay overnight in Sarangkot.

Day 10 :
Return to Pokhara and fly back to Kathmandu. Distance: 5 km (trek) + 200 km (flight), Duration: 1–2 hrs trek + 25 min flight

We will start our morning with a spectacular sunrise view, as the mountains glow in shades of orange and gold. After the breakfast in Sarangkot, we will once again head back to Pokhara. Once we reach Pokhara we will take a short domestic flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 11 :
Reserve day

We are almost at the end of our journey, we have kept an extra day in our itinerary just in case of any delays. In case we encounter any unforeseen circumstances on the way that require us to stay an additional day, we can use this extra day. You can use this extra day   at any time and if we complete our trek without the need of an extra day then, you can spend an extra day at Kathmandu.
 

Day 12 :
Final Departure

On the final day of our journey, we will bid you farewell and arrange your transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport. Please make sure your luggage is packed and that you haven’t left anything behind. We will ensure you reach the airport on time. With this, we conclude our 12 days Panorama trek to Annapurna Base Camp.
