Before we begin our trek, we must know how challenging it is whether the trek is suitable as per our fitness level or not. Wonder Himalaya offers different trek staring with easy one which are suitable even for the beginners, to challenging one which requires a high level of fitness.
The package of Wonder Himalaya includes five different types of trip grade. i.e. Easy, Easy to Moderate, Moderate, Strenuous, and Challenging. We have graded each trek based on factors like conditions, durations, weather, and topography, making it easy for you to select the trek as per your physical fitness level.
- Easy: The easy grade is best fit for the beginners. If you have no experience in trekking than easy grade is for you. In such trek, we’ll basically walk for three to five hours, while taking rest between the routes. We’ll usually walk below 3,000m and for overnight, we’ll stay in a comfortable teahouses or lodges. This trek is usually best for the beginners and one with normal fitness.
- Easy to Moderate: The easy to moderate grade is a bit more challenging than the easy one. In such trek we’ll walk for five to seven hours through a rocky and mountain trails. The trail follows multiple ascend and descend. We’ll gain the altitude up to 4,500m to 5000m and for accommodation, we’ll stay at teahouse and also camping depending on the route. Although it is suitable for the beginners, some prior experience is helpful.
- Moderate: The moderate grade is for the trekkers who have at least a little experience in hiking or walking long distance. In such trek, we’ll walk of at least seven to eight hours each day through a steeper and rockier terrain. We’ll go through some difficult ascending and descending and gain the altitude up to 5500m. The trek is still within the reach of those with a good fitness level but an experience would be very helpful.
- Strenuous: The Strenuous treks are for the experienced one, who possess a high-level fitness and have good understanding of the trekking techniques and skills. In such trek, we’ll walk for at least seven to eight hours, and will stay overnight camping at the altitude of 5500m.
- Challenging: The grade Challenging is the hardest among all the five grade. This trek is only suitable for experienced climbers and trekkers, who have a high knowledge regarding the climbing techniques and skills. These treks are physically and mentally demanding, with steep climbs, harsh weather conditions, and technical terrain. There is high risk of altitude sickness as we’ll be staying overnight at the altitude of 6000m.
