The Khumai Danda Trek is a short and scenic Himalayan trek in the Annapurna region, just a few hours from Pokhara. It is best known for its incredible close-up views of Machhapuchhre and peaceful trails away from busy trekking routes.

Itinerary

Day 01 :
Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara (822m).
Accommodation:At a Luxury Hotel/Guesthouse

The first day of your journey begins with a short domestic flight to Pokhara. It will take around 25 to 30 minutes to reach Pokhara. Upon Landing in Pokhara you can check into your hotel and can explore the city and lakes. Your first night after Kathmandu will be in Pokhara.

Day 02 :
Drive to Hemja and Trek to Hile Kharka (2,160m) via Ghachowk.

The day two will be exciting as you will finally start an actual walk. However, before starting your trek you should drive to Hemja from Pokhara. You’ll start after breakfast and drive to Hemja which will approximately take around 30 to 40 minutes depending upon the traffic. Then, you’ll trek for next five hours to make it to Hile Kharka. You’ll pass through the beautiful villages and farmlands before making it to Ghachowk. From here the trail enters dense forests of rhododendron and oak, leading you uphill to Hile Kharka. You’ll spend your night here in Kharka at the tea house.

Day 03 :
Trek from Hile Kharka to Khumai Danda (3,245m)

On this day you will finally make it to Khumai Danda your ultimate destination for this trek. You will ascent through rhododendron and oak forests with some steeper ridge sections near the top. Once you reach Khumai Danda you will be able to witness the magical views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre. You will spend your night here in Khumai Dada enjoying the peaceful vibes.

Day 04 :
Hike to Korchan Danda (3,700m) and Trek to Khadarjung and Drive to Pokhara

Today you’ll start early in the morning and will hike to Korchan Danda to enjoy the magical sunrise view. After soaking in the beauty and capturing some memories, you’ll then slowly and carefully descend toward Khadarjung. From Khadarjung you’ll then drive back to Pokhara which will take around 1 hour.

Day 05 :
Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

The final day of the journey is here. Today you’ll fly back to Kathmandu which will take approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer you to your accommodation where you can have a most deserving and needed rest. In evening Wonder Himalaya will offer you a dinner for the completion of the trek. With this we’ll conclude the 5 days Khumai Danda Trek.
